    ACTION ALERT!

Friends, we need your help! We are so close to the finish line to get SB 628 (Allen) CA Creative Workforce Act of 2021, the first ever creative workforce development state bill, passed in the United States. The bill introduced by Senator Ben Allen and coauthored by Senators Josh Newman and Susan Rubio, Assembly members Laura Friedman and Sharon Quirk Silva and sponsored by California Arts Advocates with Arts for LA has received bipartisan support and has no opposition.

SB 628 has now gone to the Governor for his signature. He has thirty days to sign or veto. With your help, we can show him that the industry needs this bill to not only recover from the ongoing impacts of the pandemic but to build back a better, more sustainable and diverse creative workforce.

We ask you to do three simple things:

SIGN as an Individual: Follow the link to send an automated letter to the Governor.

SUPPORT as an organization: If you are an arts organization, independent venue, cultural institution, creative businesses, union, service organization, trade associations, or local governments please add your name and logo to our coalition letter. The deadline is Wednesday, September 15 at 5pm so please sign today!

SHARE with your members/patrons: Visit our InstagramFacebook and Twitter accounts and share our messages.
