Pacific Symphony is an organization that aims to inspire, engage, and serve Orange County through exceptional music performances, education, and community programming. Led by Musical Director Carl St. Clair and founded in 1978 as a collaboration between California State University Fullerton (CSUF) and North Orange County community leaders, led by Marcy Mulville, Pacific Symphony is the largest orchestra formed in the United States in the last 50 years. It is recognized as an outstanding ensemble making strides on both the national and international scenes, as well as in its own community of Orange County California. Presenting more than 100 concerts annually, and a rich array of award-winning education and community programs, Pacific Symphony reaches more than 300,000 people each year, from school children to senior citizens.

The Pacific Symphony Box Circle Club Lounge Attendant serves as the welcoming ambassador to all Box Circle Club, Governing Members, and VIP guests who wish to make use of the Symphony Donor lounge. This volunteer will ensure that the lounge is ready to receive guests prior to the lounge opening. Then, the volunteer will greet guests and ensure they have lounge privileges by checking their name(s) off the Invitee List and answer questions from those interested in learning how to become Box Circle Club or Governing Members.

This individual will begin by shadowing another Lounge Attendant until Pacific Symphony staff feel that he/she is ready to perform the Lounge Attendant responsibilities alone. The time commitment required is from 6 30pm to approximately 9 30pm on each Classics or Pops concert night (one Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening approximately every other week). This individual may choose to stay for the entirety of the concert, if they desire.

The Box Circle Club volunteer must have a warm and outgoing personality, outstanding professionalism and etiquette, and the ability to interact comfortably with major donors, Board members and others.

This individual should be able to demonstrate personal initiative, excellent judgment and the ability to learn quickly. Maturity and ability to respect confidential information are essential for success in this role.

Professional attired required.

Prior customer service experience considered a plus.
