According to their Facebook page, Musica Transalpina is "LA's newest baroque music ensemble, exploring Counter Reformation-era liturgical music in the concerted style."
Founding member Claire Fedoruk shares this:
"Musica Transalpina is a newly formed early music ensemble based in the South Bay and are generously supported by the Parish of Ss. Peter and Paul in Wilmington, CA. I love working with the incredible early music specialists in the group, both vocal and instrumental. The razor sharp professionalism, knowledge of style and strong performance skills make this a joy to be part of musical art again! Our conductor Bryan Roach chooses wonderfully obscure music; often has neither been performed or recorded, so it is such an exciting challenge!"
