Are you spreading the word about your gigs and projects? While marketing can seem overwhelming and even like "someone else's job", you're missing a huge opportunity if you're not reaching out to your own sphere about your performances. Even as a "background player", every gig counts, and you should be doing at least the minimum promo so you can increase your own name recognition, make yourself more valuable to presenters, and set yourself up for career growth.
Our Group Coaching session for August will show you how easy this can be. You DO have the time, and if you're not marketing what you're up to, you're likely to miss out on opportunities and exposure. We'll show you what to ask presenters for, how to use it, and how to present it to make you and your colleagues look professional and intriguing. This is well within reach, and it's also cumulative -- the more you do it, the more powerful it becomes! We'll even dispel a myth or two while we're at it...
Lauri's introductory presentation will be followed by plenty of discussion time, so we can share ideas, get questions answered and address some individual concerns.
Even if you cannot actually attend, each registrant will receive resources to help you get out there and start your search, and ideas on how you can make yourself even more indispensable.
Monthly group sessions take place via Zoom, usually on the 3rd Saturday of each month, from 10am to 11:30am.
The cost is just $25 for members, and $35 for non-members who are serious about developing their creative careers. Take one session at a time, or contact Lauri to set up a bundle, which can be used over time. It's a very affordable way to connect, talk about being an arts biz, generate ideas, and get some support!
Your Zoom link will be revealed in your confirmation email, and we'll send a reminder a couple of hours before the event.

The new season is coming, so we must have a final summer shebang before we dive into everything else! Please join us for a little food, fun, and a chance to hang out and reconnect with some of your fellow Listers.
Location: We're meeting at our "primary schmoozing space", and it's easier to get there than you might think. Pitfire Pizza in Pasadena is one short block from the Metro L Line (aka the Gold Line), has plenty of parking, great food, and lots of options for those with dietary concerns. Bring your business cards and flyers for any upcoming events you're involved in. We all pay for our own food, but please do plan to order something and tip well, to thank the restaurant for putting up with us. We'll have a little gift for all attendees, and a good time will be had by all.
