March is Arts Education Month! 

Arts Education Month is a time for California schools to focus on the value of the arts for all students, foster cross-cultural understanding, provide recognition to the state’s outstanding young artists, and enhance public support for this essential part of the school curriculum! 

Please join Create CA in celebrating the month through these actions! 

• The Student Voices Campaign will announce the finalists and winners on our Instagram page! All of the artwork is being sent to school board members to let them know how arts education impacts their lives. 

  • Check out our Instagram between 3/7-3/11 to win sticker packs and share your advocacy! Finalists will be announced on 3/11!

• Create CA is accepting applicants to our next Arts Now Leader cohort. If you know anyone interested in this paid opportunity, send them here to apply.

• There’s an unprecedented chance to make a long-lasting change at the ballot box this year. To ensure that this proposed ballot measure makes it on  your November ballot, we need everyone to show support. Here’s how you can take action:
  
  1. Check out our blog to learn more about the ballot measure.
  
  2. If you work for or volunteer at a non-profit, ask the board to officially endorse the measure, then share your endorsement on social media and newsletter. Using these images to show your support on social media!
  
  3. Sign up to collect signatures!
