Full Job Description
We are seeking a Children's Music Teacher and Entertainer to join our team!
Candidate must have a passion for playing and educating children (ages 0-6) and adults. Excellent customer service and group facilitation skills are a must, as is the ability to work as part of a team.
Successful candidates are musical, dynamic, outgoing, theatrical and can take control of a busy room with song. They must play Guitar or Keys. MUSICAL THEATRE backgrounds are a plus!
Candidates will not be afraid to sing loudly in front of a crowd, facilitate preschool classes, parties and classes. Applicants must take a sense of pride in your accomplishments, and seek to improve each and every day.
We take a playful and active approach to musical learning. Our aim is to nurture emerging musical expression. Parents attend classes with their children as they explore unique songs, play instruments and musical games. Lesson plans and training are provided.
Weekend availability and reliable transportation is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Perform musical sets, classes and lessons for children
- Interact with children in a safe and compassionate manner
- Implement creative activities to assist with child development
- Create a positive and nurturing environment for children
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with childcare or other related fields
- Musical background - Vocal and/or Guitar and Piano
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children and their parents
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Must know how to play acoustic guitar and ukulele and/or piano
- Pleasant and tuneful singing voice
- Love of singing, music making and teaching
- Group facilitation skills
- Experience working with young children a plus
- Ability to learn songs by ear or through music notation
- Playful and energetic teaching style
- Consistent, dependable, hard-working

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
